This shows what variables you can use in FTP configuration and where exactly you can use them.

You have three path variables that are always available (username, groupname and homedir). You can use them in home (root) directory, in path permissions settings and make aliases for them.

And the Icewarp server has two variables available (email, domain) only for users that are of type system. These are user accounts internal to the Icewarp Mail Server.
