Issue
What is the message aging feature?
Solution
In Release 3.1, Mirapoint added the message aging feature, implemented with the Mailbox Msgexpirenow command in the CLI and administration protocol.
When systems were upgraded to Release 3.1, they automatically received an appropriate schedule for messaging aging, if enabled. In subsequent releases, it is the administrator's responsibility to schedule message expiration.
The class of service (COS) facility also offers a Msgexpiration option, which directs the system to delete a user's old messages or old messages that a user has seen, according to terms of the LDAP miMailExpirePolicy attribute.
