How do I configure journaling on a multi-tiered Mirapoint deployment?

Issue

If I have both a Mirapoint Message Server and a RazorGate appliance, and the users are using the RazorGate as an SMTP server, how should I configure the journaling (i.e., wiretap) filter?

Solution

For best effectiveness, configure RazorGate as a local message router (LMR) and user proxy. With this configuration, all messages traverse the RazorGate. The wiretap filter rules should point to the RazorGate appliance.

Consult with your Mirapoint Sales Engineer if you cannot use your RazorGate as a user proxy. Other methods of ensuring the capture of all messages exist.
