How do I return to cleartext mode when I am accessing the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance through SSH?

Solution

Use one of the following two procedures:

Using a Serial Console

1. Attach a console to the serial port on the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance.
2. Through the CLI interface, enter the command:

Admin Set Security Cleartext

You can now access the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance through a telnet session or the Administration Suite.

Installing a Secure Telnet Client

1. Download a secure telnet client (e.g., SecureCRT).

Install the client on your desktop PC.

2. Use the client to log into the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance. You need the following information:

• Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance hostname
• An administrator login
• That administrator login's password
• Cipher mode out of these three only: DES, 3DES, Blowfish

3. Through the CLI, enter the command:

Admin Set Security Cleartext

You can now access the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance through a telnet session or the Administration Suite.
