Issue
Since Mirapoint Message Server and RazorGate uses ECC memory, does the appliance reboot due to ECC or memory errors?
Solution
The Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance reboots around failed memory only if the failure can not be corrected.
ECC corrects single-bit errors, and detects double bit errors; both are logged in megabit (Mb) double-bit, and causes the appliance to reboot.
If the memory has failed and more double-bit errors occur, the appliance does not successfully reboot.
Excessive single-bit errors cause slow appliance performance and are shown in the memory log. More than double-bit errors freeze the appliance.
