What is Messaging Operating System (MOS) response to the SMTP ETRN command?

Solution

The SMTP command ETRN <domain name> flushes all emails in the mail queue that belong to the type of domain entered. To prevent illegal activity which would disrupt the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance, you can issue this command a maximum of 8 times.

NOTE: Mirapoint does not support a Mail Bagger configuration, in which the appliance always stores mail for a particular domain and only delivers the mail when the ETRN command is issued. But the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance queues all mails for delivery to all valid domains.
