How do I delete the administrator's mailbox?

Solution

The administrator's mailbox cannot be deleted using the Mailbox Delete command.

As a safety precaution, users with administrator privileges are not allowed to delete their own mailboxes. By logging in as a different user with administrator privileges, you can assign an appropriate ACL and delete the administrator mailbox.

To delete the administrator's mailbox:

1. Create an account with administrator privileges. For example: User Add abc 1234 "ABC"
   Mailbox Add user.abc
   Role Add Admin abc
2. Login as the newly created user abc, and create a new ACL. For example: Mailbox Setacl User.administrator abc Lrswipcda
   Mailbox Delete User.administrator

After deleting the administrator mailbox, recreate it using the Mailbox Add User.administrator command.
