Issue
My company has more than one domain name. How can I accept mail for all these domain names?
Solution
To accept mail from more than one domain name for your company, create a mail domain on the Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance.
A mail domain is a domain that the Mirapoint or RazorGate accepts messages for. It is used as an alias to the primary domain.
To add a mail domain, use either the CLI Maildom Add domain.com. command or the Administration Suite (available as of 3.4). All primary domain users are able to accept mail at the primary domain or the mail domain.
Be sure to update the DNS MX record to reflect the correct mail server accepting mail for that domain.
As of Release 2.9.3, if LDAP routing has been implemented in your network, you can use the Smtp Set Ldaprouting All command. This feature issues queries to the LDAP server and attempts LDAP routing for all messages with a matching LDAP entry. This reduces the amount of mail domains that must be created on a Mirapoint or RazorGate appliance.

Mail domains can be configured in the Administration Suite. Navigate to the Home > System > Serivces > SMTP > Mail Domains page, type the name of the mail domain, then click Add. Repeat for each mail domain you wish to add. |
LDAP routing can be configured on your appliance using the Setup Wizard.
