How to install a patch or update MOS

Issue

Having trouble downloading Mirapoint MOS updates and patches for my Message Server or RazorGate appliance.

Solution

MOS update patches can be added to your appliance through the CLI or, as of Release 3.4, through the Administration Suite.

When downloading the file using FTP (through the CLI) to your appliance, be sure to use the .mpu5 extension to the file.

Use the CLI Update Install command to install the patch. For example:

When you use Update Install command to install MOS updates or patches, you it is not necessary to use the .mpu5 extension. It is automatically added by the Update command.

The ftp.mirapoint.com site requires that you use passive mode for downloads.
