NOTE: Mirapoint only supports Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) versions 5.4 and 5.5 (see Approved NDMP DMAs for Mirapoint Appliances). This document describes the steps required to configure a TSM version 5.2.2 data management application (DMA) for NDMP backup when the Mirapoint appliance is equipped with MOS 3.7 or later. The procedure described in the attachment also applies to Solaris systems. For more information on TSM versions 5.4 and later, refer to your IBM documentation. |
The instructions attached to this article assume that you have already installed TSM 5.2.2 and all of the required patches described in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Sun Solaris: Quick Start and the TSM README files.
For more information about installing, configuring, and supporting Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), refer to the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Quick Start and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Administrator's Guide provided with your Tivoli software.
