Before rebooting your appliance At the conclusion of the full image recovery, before rebooting the appliance, you must restore any incremental backups you wish to retain.When performing a system recovery which includes message-based incremental backups, you must first restore the full image backup.

The process for recovering an incremental message-based backup is similar to restoring the full image backup. The only difference is that you choose a different backup to recover from, for example using the "bp" or "xbp" commands.
