Sharing your screen during online conferences helps to enhance communication efficiency and, importantly, eliminates misunderstandings that can stem from different perceptions.
When you want to share your screen in Chrome on MacOS, sometimes you can get an error message about the problem with screen sharing permissions. To solve the problem, give Chrome permission to record the screen.
You can manage permissions in the System Preferences.
- Click Apple menu -> System Preferences.
- Scroll to Privacy & Security.
- Select Screen Recording.
- Check if Google Chrome is in the list of applications allowed to record your screen.
- If it is not, click
and select Google Chrome from the list of available applications. Activate the toggle next to Google Chrome to grant it permission to record your screen.
- Restart Chrome to apply the changes.
