IceWarp Calendar allows you to organize meetings, create events, and schedule the use of company resources (meeting rooms, cars, printers, etc.).
You can create the events manually one by one or import multiple events at once if they are in a .ics file. This is particularly useful for such recurrent events as holidays. In this article, we will explain how to add holidays to your Calendar.
Enabling holidays
If you want to add national holidays, we have prepared a holiday list sorted by country.
- Click your avatar -> Options -> Calendar tab -> Holidays
- Check the checkbox of the country which holidays you want to see in your Calendar.
- The holidays will be added to your main Calendar.
- The built-in holidays are added to the header of the day in your calendar.
Importing holidays
If you have a list of holidays in .ics format, you can easily import them to your IceWarp Calendar.
- Click your avatar -> Options -> Import/Export -> Import
- Click Upload and select .ics file you want to import.
- Click Calendar to select a calendar where to upload the holidays. You can leave it as it is, and the holidays will be uploaded to the main Calendar.
- Click Load and wait for a notification that the import was successful.
- The imported holidays are added to your calendar as usual events with the tag Holidays.
Note: We recommend importing holidays in a separate folder. This allows you to easily disable or delete the imported holidays when you no longer need them. |
Calendar layout
You can select the way you want to display your Calendar (1):
Right pane, Bottom pane, List view, Calendar view (classic).
Depending on what layout you select, the holidays will be displayed differently.
- If you select Right pane, Bottom pane, List view, you will see the list of events. If you have imported holidays, they will be listed among the other events with the tag Holidays.
- If you select Calendar view, you will see built-in holidays in the header of the day (2) and the imported holidays as the usual events at the top of the time grid (3).
