This is issue for browser default language, not icewarp.

Mount NAS to some new local folder. Move folders of specific year to this new folder and create link to original store.

Simple solution: Use remote console: Users-> user -> Options: Mailbox: Type: change from "IMAP & POP3" to "POP3"

IMHO passwords are encrypted by default after upgrade.

Sorry stupid question. Do you have SSL enabled?(System -> Tools -> Advanced -> Enable SSL/TLS)
