How to use SmartAttach feature in IceWarp

How to Turn SmartAttach ON or OFF

1. Log in as an Administrator (minimum: WebAdmin) to the WebClient.

2. Navigate to: Administrator settings > Mail > Mail Compose.

   

• Use standard attachment:

  • If set to Yes, SmartAttach is disabled by default.

  • The Red and Green checkboxes define which users have permission to change this setting.

• Remove the SmartAttach toggle switch from the email footer:

  • Go to Administrator settings > General > Restrictions.

    

  • Enable Disable SmartAttach switch in Mail Compose.

  • The toggle switch will then be completely hidden from the email footer.

How to Enable SmartAttach Only for Attachments Above a Certain Size

1. Go to Server Administration > Mail > Rules > Content Filters.

2. In the Global Rule, configure the following:

   

   • Condition: Where message size is greater than X MB

   • Action: Perform SmartAttach

Note: For this rule, you must specify a user or account where all SmartAttach files will be stored.
