How to pair and use ChatGPT with an IceWarp account

This article explains how to pair and use ChatGPT with an IceWarp account.

USER ROLE

  • IceWarp users can enable or disable the ChatGPT connection for their own account.

IceWarp allows you to use ChatGPT directly from the IceWarp interface, without switching between separate applications.

After enabling the integration and pairing your ChatGPT account, you can open ChatGPT from IceWarp and use it alongside your everyday work.

This article explains how to enable ChatGPT in IceWarp and how to disable the connection when you no longer want to use it.

PREREQUISITES

Before enabling ChatGPT in IceWarp, make sure that:

  • You have an active IceWarp account.

  • You can sign in to IceWarp WebClient.

  • You have an active paid ChatGPT account.

  • You can sign in to your ChatGPT account.

USER USE CASES

1. Enable ChatGPT

To enable ChatGPT in IceWarp, first create an OpenAI API key and then add it to IceWarp.

Step 1: Get your OpenAI API key

  1. Sign in to the OpenAI API platform.

  2. Open API Keys.

  3. Click Create new secret key.

  4. Copy the generated API key and store it securely.

Important: Do not share your API key with other users.

Note: Your OpenAI API account must have billing configured and sufficient available usage. API usage is billed separately from a ChatGPT subscription.

Step 2: Enable ChatGPT in IceWarp

  1. Sign in to IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Open Marketplace.

  3. Go to Integrations.

  4. Find ChatGPT and click Enable.

  5. Paste the OpenAI API key you copied earlier.

  6. Click Enable.

  7. Review and accept the third-party data processing agreement.

Result: ChatGPT is enabled and can now be accessed directly from the IceWarp interface.

2. Use ChatGPT from IceWarp WebClient

2.1. General chat with ChatGPT in IceWarp

After ChatGPT is enabled, you can access it directly from the IceWarp WebClient interface.

  1. Sign in to IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

  3. Enter your prompt in the message field.

  4. Send the prompt.

  5. Continue the conversation with ChatGPT directly from IceWarp WebClient.

Result: You can use ChatGPT directly from IceWarp WebClient without opening ChatGPT in a separate browser tab or application.

2.2. Contextual help with ChatGPT in IceWarp

ChatGPT can also be used contextually while working in IceWarp WebClient, allowing you to get assistance related to the content you are currently working with.

Existing emails

1. Suggest reply

ChatGPT can suggest a reply based on the content of an existing email.

  1. Open the email you want to reply to.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

  3. Select Suggest reply.

  4. ChatGPT analyzes the content of the email and generates a suggested response.

  5. Review the suggested reply and adjust it as needed before sending.

Result: ChatGPT generates a suggested reply based on the content of the selected email.

2. Make a quick overview

ChatGPT can create a short overview of an existing email to help you understand its main points quickly.

  1. Open the email you want to review.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

  3. Select Make a quick overview.

  4. ChatGPT analyzes the content of the email and generates a brief summary.

Result: ChatGPT provides a concise overview of the selected email, highlighting its main information.

3. Translate

ChatGPT can translate the content of an existing email into another language.

  1. Open the email you want to translate.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

  3. Select Translate.

  4. Choose the language you want to translate the email into.

  5. ChatGPT translates the content of the selected email.

Result: ChatGPT provides a translated version of the email directly in IceWarp WebClient.

4. Read aloud

ChatGPT can read the content of an existing email aloud.

  1. Open the email you want to listen to.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

  3. Select Read aloud.

  4. ChatGPT starts reading the content of the selected email aloud.

Result: The content of the selected email is read aloud directly from IceWarp WebClient.

New emails

ChatGPT can also assist you while composing a new email in IceWarp WebClient. You can use it to work with selected text or improve the content of your message before sending it.

1. Make a quick overview

ChatGPT can create a short overview of text while you are composing a new email.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to work with.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Make a quick overview.

  6. ChatGPT analyzes the selected text and generates a brief summary.

Result: ChatGPT provides a concise overview of the selected text while you are composing the email.

2. Translate

ChatGPT can translate selected text while you are composing a new email.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to translate.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Translate.

  6. Choose the language you want to translate the text into.

  7. ChatGPT translates the selected text.

Result: ChatGPT provides a translated version of the selected text while you are composing the email.

3. Fix grammar

ChatGPT can check selected text and correct grammar while you are composing a new email.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to check.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Fix grammar.

  6. ChatGPT reviews the selected text and provides a corrected version.

Result: ChatGPT corrects grammatical issues in the selected text while keeping the original meaning.

4. Change tone

ChatGPT can adjust the tone of selected text while you are composing a new email.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to adjust.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Change tone.

  6. Choose the preferred tone.

  7. ChatGPT rewrites the selected text using the chosen tone.

Result: ChatGPT adjusts the tone of the selected text while preserving its main message.

5. Improve styling

ChatGPT can improve the style and readability of selected text while you are composing a new email.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to improve.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Improve styling.

  6. ChatGPT rewrites the selected text to make it clearer and more polished.

Result: ChatGPT improves the style and readability of the selected text while preserving its original meaning.

6. Make bullet points

ChatGPT can restructure selected text into bullet points while you are composing a new email.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to restructure.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Make bullet points.

  6. ChatGPT converts the selected text into a clear bulleted list.

Result: ChatGPT organizes the selected text into bullet points, making the content easier to read and scan.

7. Make it shorter

ChatGPT can shorten selected text while keeping the main message.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to shorten.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Make it shorter.

  6. ChatGPT creates a shorter version of the selected text.

Result: ChatGPT reduces the length of the selected text while preserving its key information.

8. Make it longer

ChatGPT can expand selected text by adding more detail while keeping the original message.

  1. Create a new email in IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Enter the text you want to expand.

  3. Select the relevant text in the email body.

  4. Click the ChatGPT icon in the email toolbar.

  5. Select Make it longer.

  6. ChatGPT creates a more detailed version of the selected text.

Result: ChatGPT expands the selected text while preserving its main meaning.

TeamChat

ChatGPT can also assist you while working with messages and content in IceWarp TeamChat.

1. Suggest reply

ChatGPT can suggest a response based on the content of an existing TeamChat message.

  1. Navigate to the TeamChat message you want to reply to.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon next to the message.

  3. Select Suggest reply.

  4. ChatGPT analyzes the selected message and generates a suggested response.

  5. Review the suggested reply and adjust it as needed before sending.

Result: ChatGPT generates a suggested reply based on the content of the selected TeamChat message.

2. Make a quick overview

ChatGPT can create a short overview of an existing TeamChat message.

  1. Navigate to the TeamChat message you want to review.

  2. Click the ChatGPT icon next to the message.

  3. Select Make a quick overview.

  4. ChatGPT analyzes the selected message and generates a brief summary.

Result: ChatGPT provides a concise overview of the selected TeamChat message, highlighting its main information.

3. Disable ChatGPT

If you no longer want to use ChatGPT in IceWarp, or if you need to replace the current API key, you can deactivate the integration at any time.

  1. Sign in to IceWarp WebClient.

  2. Open Marketplace and go to Integrations.

  3. Open ChatGPT Settings.

  4. Click Deactivate.

Result: ChatGPT is no longer available in IceWarp WebClient. You can enable it again later using a new API key.

CONCLUSION

ChatGPT is now connected with your IceWarp account and can be used directly from the IceWarp WebClient interface.

After enabling the integration with your OpenAI API key, you can open ChatGPT from the icon in the top-right corner and use it without switching to a separate application.

If you no longer want to use the integration, you can disable ChatGPT at any time from Marketplace > Integrations.
