Older versions (bundling PHP 7.3)
As a partial measure, we continue to recommend changing the following settings in
php.ini:session.upload_progress.enabled = 0
memory_limit = -1
post_max_size = 32M
upload_max_filesize = 32M
session.serialize_handler = phpImportant: These settings do not fully mitigate the vulnerabilities. Customers running older versions are strongly advised to upgrade to a newer version of IceWarp and apply the patches listed above.!!! The changes above will limit the upload limit of files to 32 MB !!!
Recommended actions
Modify the primary php.ini file
Backup the
php.inifile located in/icewarp/php/Open the
php.inifile using a text editor.Locate the variables stated below.
If any of the variables are commented out (starts with a semicolon
;), remove the semicolon.Set the variables to their specific value
Create the php.user.ini override file
In the same directory (
/icewarp/php/), create a new text file namedphp.user.ini.Add the following lines to the file and save it:
session.upload_progress.enabled = 0
memory_limit = -1
post_max_size = 32M
upload_max_filesize = 32M
session.serialize_handler = php
If you are already on the patched version, you can revert the changes above to the original state.
